As announced yesterday, I am taking part in my second Green Smoothie Challenge, meaning that I will consume any kind of green smoothie once a day during this week. The event is organized by Katherine, author of the lovely Real Food Runner Blog, please also visit her site for more information on the challenge.
Depending on what ingredients you mix up together, if it's only water, buttermilk and some greens - or as well more substantial food like bananas, avocados and yoghurt (yes, that can all be part of a green smoothie!), the drink might in the end be seen as a meal. I decided to start off this week's challenge with my first meal of the week: a green brakfast smoothie. This particular one I had includes a banana, yoghurt, peanut butter and some cocoa powder ... and for the green part, some spinach, too. I found that recipe on Katherine's page within this post. I really enjoyed the sweet flavour of that smoothie and am looking forward to a week with more smoothies to be tried out!
Note: The normal language of this blog will remain German, but when taking part in events by blogs in other languages, I will write in English for reasons of interaction in relation to these events. I hope you don't mind!
